Prologue:
In the silence of the moment, one solitary figure willed the tears to cease, but failed in the effort. Words hastily written…before the thoughts vanished forever from his mind…resounded back to his heart in heightened confusion. Laying the notebook beside him, he shut his eyes and entered into a fitful restlessness.
What hides in the darkness,
So perplexing for the eye to discern…
Clarity arises in the morn
When darkness is yet delayed,
Only but for a fleeting moment in time…
Delayed but not gone.
Clarity comes in the morn,
If not entirely…
Then little by little
To my soul.
God’s plans were in the making, unknown to the author of the script. The words were given to his heart to pen, the mission yet to be fulfilled.
As the young man fought his confusion and heaviness of heart, yet another lone soul in a distant place pled for forgiveness from her Creator. So many years had passed and so many opportunities had been wasted. Carefully folding the letter, she slid the contents into the envelope, sealing up years of hidden truths. Her heart lightened with the confession to God. And in her asking for forgiveness, the truth had indeed set her free. Free to once again ask forgiveness from yet another…the one God would help her find.
‘Please, dear Heavenly Father. What I have done is so unforgivable. I know only You can forgive such a transgression as this. Please prepare my heart for the journey You lay ahead of me. Help me to know what to say, for I have hurt her so.’
One lay in fitful unrest…a heart knowing there were answers needing to be revealed.
Another rested in peaceful resolve…her heart beginning to mend.
God’s hand was on both and the journeys were yet to be.
