In addition, four appendices provide the full text of the Militia Act of 1792, records of debates, information on federal arms production, and lists of federal arms contracts with civilian manufacturers. About the Author

James N. Gibson holds a master’s degree in aerospace engineering and has studied technical writing. The author of books on U.S. nuclear weaponry and the Navaho missile program that laid groundwork for the Apollo missions to the Moon, he has worked as an aerospace engineer for the Boeing Company.
