Hilary loved living on the farm full of horses, dogs and cats. There were also animals that people had abandoned. The Andrews farm was the single joy in many kids’ lives. Parents dropped them off early Saturday morning and didn’t pick them up until sunset. After school each day, the farm was flooded with kids riding horses and playing. Hilary had two younger sisters, Fran and Sara. They enjoyed hours of fun and also of conflict, as siblings do. Hilary had many friends with whom to ride horses, play in the hayloft and eat watermelon on hot Everglade days. She lived a life that many young girls only dream to live.

About the Author
Robin H. Kramer earned a master’s of education degree with a reading, elementary, and reading specialist certification and taught elementary school for over three decades before retiring. She has many fond memories of growing up on a horse farm in south Florida, surrounded by family and friends. The mother of two grown children, she now lives in central Pennsylvania. Nature and animals are still very special parts of her life.
