About the Author

I wrote my first Mathematics book published titled “Let’s Have Fun with Number 1-10”. My name is Arulmanidevi Thangamaniam and I can be called “Devi” for short. I am from Sri Lanka and Tamil is my native tongue. I have been living in Canada for the past 15 years. I have completed the Primary education for Teaching at the Government teachers’ College in Sri Lanka. I have taught students for eighteen years ranging from grade 1 to grade 5, covering all the curriculums. After I immigrated to Canada, I studied Early Childhood Education at Centennial College in Toronto and attained a Diploma in ECE. Then I got the RECE membership from College of Early Childhood Educators in Toronto as well. My cumulative teaching experience in Canada is twelve years including the experience working at Daycare Centres and working with other young children’s sitting ages ranging from 0 to 10 years old

My experiences, skills and interests are in working with young children and families. I planned and implemented programs designed to meet children with all the developmental needs and it is based on the children’s interests and abilities. My interest and goals are to develop all the areas of the curriculum, but I have noticed that most of the children struggle with mathematical skills. I believe in giving a variety of the best practices to children since young age, so can they build their knowledge, skills and increase their confidence. Here are age appropriate design mathematical exercises for them. Have fun with number 1-10.
