I’m Holly the Hamster and Katy is my best friend. She takes good care of me. I have my own home with a bedroom, dining room and exercise wheel. I was so excited to visit Katy’s grade school. I jumped in my little red car and followed Katy down the sidewalk, rolling all the way. I saw other feet and legs walk by us, and even a couple of squirrels scampered past, but I was able to keep up with her. When we arrived at school, Katy lifted me up. I crawled up her arm to her shoulder and snuggled against her neck.

About the Book
Holly the hamster has been hearing about Katy’s adventures in grade-school for a long time. Now, Holly gets the chance to go to school with her best friend. She can’t wait to see the children sing songs, paint pictures, and play music.
Randy, the chubby mouse, lives in Holly’s backyard next to the berry bushes. They have fun playing together.
Jerry is a baby giraffe trying to get his legs underneath him and learn about life. He wants to grow bigger so he can look inside the windows of Giraffe Manor.

A picture book for children, the tales share the lives of animals as they long for a taste of life outside their safe and comfortable homes.
About the Author
Joyce Moody is a social worker in Tacoma, Washington. For the past six years, she has volunteered with Washington State Animal Response Team, a group that rescues domestic animals in crisis. Moody lives with her two Basenji dogs and enjoys having pets in her life.
