The next morning mom called Xaven’s name to wake him up. He sat up, and his head hit the top of his bunk-bed. “Ouch, that hurt!” Xaven said as he rubbed his head. It seemed as if the bunk-bed had gotten smaller. Xaven looked down at his legs as they were hanging over the edge of the bed almost touching the floor. Xaven yelled, “Mom!” Mom quickly came to his room. Xaven stood up, and his head hit the ceiling. ‘’Ouch! That hurt !’’ said Xaven. He looked down at mom, as she looked up at him. It seemed as if Xaven had grown ten feet tall, overnight. Mom yelled out for Xaven’s dad, Sy, come here, please!

About the Book
Five-year-old Xaven was in a big hurry to become as tall as his tall family members. He wanted to be just like his grandpa, Sam, who stood six feet and nine inches. Xaven became so fascinated with height that even in his prayers he asked God to speed up his growing process.
He even prayed that God make him a giant, if possible. One morning, Xaven’s wish came true as he woke up and realized that he had grown into a giant seemingly overnight. He was almost twelve-feet tall. While Xaven’s parents were in shock, Xaven found much humor in the situation, and he could not wait to go to school. He knew he would get a lot of attention as a giant.
About the Author
Toyia Watkins-Bedeau worked in the banking industry for fourteen years before starting her own business and becoming an author. Her first book, Whose turn is it? was released in September 2018, and was the first of her children series.
