My story begins when my family was going camping and I was only 3½ years old, but there was a bit of a problem. You see, I wasn’t totally potty trained. I know, I was getting too old for pull-ups, and it’s sad and yes embarrassing as I tell you. But it’s just the way it was then. I didn’t want to do ‘the big job’ in the potty, and for the life of me, I don’t know why. Just some silly something little kids do sometimes I guess. So, my parents told me to go load up my backpack for a camping trip, and of course my dog Shoogie had to come to my room with me to help. My parents had loaded the red Ranger with all our camping equipment so we could drive through the woods to our campsite. My Mom, Dad and I had been talking about camping for several weeks and what we’d do and what we needed to take. I just WANTED TO GO CAMPING and I had gotten very excited; I was really looking forward to sleeping in the tent, hiking in the woods and helping Dad build the campfire. So, with our gear loaded into the Ranger, we headed off deep into the woods to the campsite. That’s when I saw the POTTY CHAIR and wondered why it was there. It was the last thing I expected to see on our camping trip.
