I think the beauty of life is captivated in the human spirit. Within we can learn and listen to the focus of essential truths, rather than the quantum and physics of our surroundings. What inspires me to write is the experience of life and what that means to be human, that we are more than exterior matters. We are defined by the essence within us, and the truths that call us to be most viable to our journeys. We learn through love, hardship and expectations, and we become stronger. When we cry a tear it just means the spiritual embodiment does in fact exists. It comes from the heart, a deep emotion we would not have felt with our physical hands but with a metaphysical sense. This book is inspired just by that. It is fun and creative, while some poems are story like depictions others are very true to the idea of life itself. Which poem speaks to your heart?

The face and the body with a reflection,
but to life no one is there.
A beating pulse,
a heart of visceral emotions,
warm tears to cry,
a mind of relative thoughts.
As real as an image but unviable to touch,
it must be a human,
it must be a hologram.

Eve Lauren Chilicas enjoys harnessing her inspirations and creative energy into the works of expressive prose and allegorical literatures. She reads and collaborates with other aspiring authors and experiments with various forms of writing styles. Eve currently resides in Texas. This is her 2nd collection of poetry.
