We had to wait and be very patient. Time started to go by.
We shared news on the phone with the surrogate, we wrote to each other, we sent pictures back and forth, and every so often we got together to give each other a hug, and see how you were growing in her tummy. One day we celebrated that you now had a beating heart. After that your eyes grew, your ears, your hair, your fingernails, your lungs and everything else. You were growing, little by little, as the days, weeks and months went by.
Había que esperar y tener mucha paciencia.
El tiempo empezó a pasar.
Con la subrogante compartimos las novedades, nos hablamos por teléfono, nos escribimos, nos mandamos fotos y cada tanto nos encontrábamos para darnos un abrazo y ver cómo ibas creciendo en su panza. Un día celebramos que ya tenías tu corazón latiendo. Después se formaron tus ojos, tus dientes, tus orejas, tu pelo, tus uñas, tus pulmones y todo. Fuiste creciendo, poquito a poquito, mientras pasaban los días, las semanas y los meses.
