When a wolf is born
the heavens celebrate in song,
When a wolf dies angels cry,
stars fall,
the tears fall like rain from the clouds,
the red from the angels eyes illuminate
the midnight sky,
as the wolf howl in song,
the soul of the one gone,
takes flight back to his home on high.

Jerry LaVon Lowery grew up in the undeveloped area of swamplands near the village of Bagdad, Florida, where his love of the outdoors and wildlife was born. Since his retirement from the communication industry, you may find him in the high planes of the Rockies or wandering southern beaches.
