About the Author

Dr. Sharon R. Burow, co-author, is an associate professor of early childhood education at Wisconsin Lutheran College, author of four early childhood evangelism big books/teacher guides, and an international speaker and writer on early childhood topics. She has directed over a dozen environmental science camps and teacher in-service programs in Grenada, West Indies.

Bridget Weber, co-author and illustrator, is an educator and artist with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. She has been teaching children to capture the beauty, wonder, and intricacies of nature through paint and collage for thirty-two years. She holds a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. She has worked with many children of Grenada while serving on educational teams at science, literature, and art camps.

Connie Westphal, photographer, is a professional portrait and landscape photographer. She sees artistry in simple events such as a child’s smile or a sunset. Her passion for photography is rooted in her love for both art and children. She divides her photographic talent between children and families at her local Milwaukee studio, Connie Westphal Photography.

Aria R Johnson-St.Louis, cultural consultant, is head of the Environment Division at the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Forestry, Fisheries, and Environment in Grenada. Her research and interests lie in the impact of climate change on island biodiversity and span both marine and terrestrial ecosystems. A former Miss Grenada, she enjoys scuba diving.
