About the Book

Dr. Tiffany Otto Knipe faced a challenging task when her four-year-old son asked her a big question: “What do doctors do?”

She looked for an age–appropriate, informative and engaging book to answer his question, but she could not find anything. So she drew upon her experience as a parent and pediatrician to create a doctor book that children everywhere will enjoy.

My Doctor Book tells the story of two brothers--Anderson and Riley--who set out on an adventure to visit their neighborhood pediatrician. In the process, they learn an invaluable life lesson – as well as important vocabulary such as thermometer, stethoscope, and pediatrician.

Help your children demystify what can often be an intimidating visit to the doctor, and inspire them to learn about their health with this whimsical tale that delivers a positive message of why it’s important for children to celebrate themselves.
