Jetta Dog Goes to the Beach

Meet Jetta Dog, the main character in my first book, "Jetta Dog Finds a Home for Christmas".  In the first book Jetta Dog is a multi-breed citizen of nowhere who is scrappy, enthusiastic and very friendly.  Jetta Dog ends up in an animal shelter searching for a new family.  She finds her perfect family while meeting 4 other dogs who all become special friends.  Jetta Dog's favorite place is the beach so Jetta Dog and her friends agree to meet at the beach for a beach clean-up the first day of summer.

Jetta Dog is so excited to see her friends again especially on beach clean-up day; this is the one day a year all of the dogs can run freely as fast as they want too.  Jetta Dog first sees Buddy, then Annabelle and finally Fred and Ethel; the entire gang is back together again and so happy.

They all start their beach clean-up and head in the direction of the pier.  The closer they get to the pier, they see a small figure curled up by one of the pylons.  It turns out to be a pup named Flounder Boy who lives at the beach.

Flounder Boy was a beach bum without a family, because he got caught in the current one day while swimming and lost his way home and ended up at the pier.  Jetta Dog has a great idea to help Flounder Boy find a family so he will have a home of his own.  Jetta Dog and friends decide they need to teach Flounder Boy some important lessons before he can get adopted.

Flounder Boy is young and mischievous and was not listening to Jetta Dog and her friends.  Flounder Boy ends up teasing Carl the crab by calling him crab cake and making fun of a seagull named Joe Banana. 

Jetta Dog and her friends teach Flounder Boy how important it is not to make fun of anyone or anything, not to bully, to help your friends and to finish your work.  Flounder Boy learns many good lessons and officially becomes the newest member of the gang "Furry Friends Forever"!!

When Jetta Dog and her friends were at the animal shelter, they all did special tricks to attract people who may want to adopt them. 

Everyone decided to do the same thing again at the beach and asked Flounder Boy if he had a special trick he could do.  Flounder Boy sure did have a special trick, he could surf and it was way cool!!

Jetta Dog and her friends started doing their tricks to attract everyone at the beach, even Carl and Joe Banana were performing, everyone was having so much fun.

Jetta Dog looks over at Flounder Boy and notices he is sad and asks why?  Flounder Boy is sad because the day is almost over and the beach is about to close without Flounder Boy finding his family.

All of the sudden, Jetta Dog sees a surfer walking out of the water and tells Flounder Boy to do his trick quickly.  So Flounder Boy jumps on his board and surfed the largest wave ever while doing tricks on his board.  The surfer notices Flounder Boy and introduces himself when Flounder Boy gets back to shore.

Everyone is watching Flounder Boy and the surfer and then, the surfer bends down to Flounder Boy and says the magic words the words all shelter animals wait to hear..."Do you want to go home with me and be a part of my family".  Jetta Dog and all of her friends are so happy for Flounder Boy.  Flounder Boy jumps in the surfers arms and they all head home looking back at the shore wagging their tails like never before!!!
