Baby bat is rebellious. He doesn’t want to eat mosquitos. And he certainly doesn’t want to sleep upside down. He wants to have fun and soar with the eagles past the sun.

One day, baby bat has the opportunity to fly with the great scarlet tanagers. He soon discovers it’s not the life he thought it would be.

This rhyming picture book for children shares the story of the little bat and how he learns he is just right.

Jennifer Lohrfink Morfea draws on her personal experiences, especially as a mother and a special education teacher. She has a gift of verbally expressing words of the heart and combines this with her intuition to address issues children face daily at younger and younger ages, such as bullying and nonconformity. Morfea lives in Holmes, New York, with her husband and children. She is also the author of The Little Hyena and The Gentle Boa.

Erik Draw is a naturally gifted, self-taught artist. He uses his intuition, insight, and sense of humor to create lovable, memorable characters and illustrations. His innate ability to convey emotions through his drawings will enchant readers of all ages. In addition to being an artist, he is a law enforcement and martial art specialist.
