The little boy stirred, turning this way and that, as the morning sun continued its whispering. Finally, the little boy stretched. As he opened his eyes, he began to notice the world around him. His bed was warm and cozy. His pajamas were soft. His toys were scattered around the floor. Outside his window, the birds were singing their songs to the day.
“What a good day this will be,” he thought.
Yet he had this funny feeling that something was missing. Hadn’t he been in the middle of a grand adventure? Had he been flying? Or perhaps running? He couldn’t quite remember how the story went. It seemed the harder he tried, the further the story faded away.
“Where did it go?” he wondered.

About the Book

About the Author
Hanah spent her childhood at a lighthouse in northern Sweden, where she roamed the wilderness and developed a deep connection to nature. She grew up reading children’s books by Elsa Beskow and Astrid Lindgren. She later moved to California, where she raised her three children. As a family they spent their vacations exploring the national parks; camping, hiking and learning the history and mythology of each place. The children’s books of Hanah’s youth have inspired her to create stories for her own children.
