"BEEP, BEEP, BEEP!" The sound of the alarm woke up Macintosh, the Miniature Schnauzer from a good night's sleep. He opened one eye and saw the calendar on the dresser that read September 12th. It was Macintosh's birthday! He was curled-up on his warm blanket at the end of his owner's bed. He got up and s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d his legs and back, then licked his paws to straighten his white fluffy eyebrows and beard.
