truth left me standing at the door
i reached for the handle... watched it turn instantly to dust
i cradled it, in a momentary glimpse of delight
so solemn, so sweet, the walls echoed... and all the saints stared back at me in disgust
but the words you speak
contradict all that i see
ah... shall i close my eyes and let the blindness prevail
partake in thy consecrated meal... close my eyes and drop to my knee
let the night create one thousand monsters
ten-thousand fold will be my counter rage
my spirit will become an all consuming fire
you will not divide me from myself, i will stand and be shaped in my own image
may my whole heart melt away into this fire
watch, listen... a new world may emerge, yet i will not be consumed
suffer, weep, and i will disregard you as you do i
i will find a rock and make a new castle of ten-thousand rooms
i will run for shelter, scream for just one morsel, a falling crumb
for this lonely soul is still craving... still yearning
is there hope for another moment or just a memory of the last
i will go back, open each page and step into the path of thy long toil of understanding

Ivan Kireevskii A wandering ascetic, born stoic, was taught by Hume... where he learned to question the absolute. He became Vienna's mythmaker. He is Michelangelo and will paint you sadness. He is Guicciardini and has no faith. He is Montaigne and has relished in solitude.
He is Descartes...was born, a devout stranger, never a child.
