During our time together under the Old Naseberry Tree, the career goals that we set or imagined, were more than one. Although some did not materialized, we did experience the joys of setting them; just the thoughts of dreaming about changes in our lives--- what life would look like, where we would be, and how we would approach and react to such accomplishments. We never thought of disappointments. Our young minds did not foster that area of life, and when adulthood manifest ‘the other side, there and then ‘plan B’ was put into action. By then, it was a little too late for some; and a lot too late for others.

For many members of the Hall family, a giant naseberry tree near their home in Jamaica served as a dear friend and confidant. It was a place of comfort and discussion, where children learned to mimic adults in speech and lifestyle.

Although the family had few luxuries, they were happy. The family’s children never lost hope; God never gave up on them, and they never left His presence. And as a result of the foundation laid early in their lives, the Hall children excelled in most of their undertakings.
