About the Book
Mama turtle knows it’s time, so she makes her way back to the beach where she was hatched to lay one hundred soft-shelled eggs. With love and care, Mama turtle covers her little pit, and two long months later, her babies emerge. Ninety-nine little sea turtles flip-flop their way down the beach and into the ocean, but one does not. The last baby turtle is different—special. He doesn’t have flippers like his brothers and sisters. Instead, he has four long legs. The others call him Long Legs.
Long Legs loves swimming and splashing in the ocean with his brothers and sisters, but he’s drawn to the land as well. His travels on those long legs of his take him to wonderful places where he meets others who are as special as he is. Share in the fun as you follow Long Legs and his wild adventures. He inspires love and finds acceptance despite his obvious differences throughout his many unique adventures both on land and at sea.
