To Perry, a small, organic English pea, the world seems a little scary. He knows that not everything in the world is good. If he’s not careful, leaving the safety of his pod could mean being thrown away, left on the floor, or even tossed into the garbage disposal. Even so, Perry is excited to start his life’s journey.

Perry the Pea has more than he knows within him, and he must discover it and share it with the world. With the help and love of his mum and the rest of his family, Perry comes to realize that he has a destiny to fulfill. Along with his new friend, Winston, Perry follows the process of an organic pea and makes his way to the home of a family! Come along on his life’s journey…

About the Author

Michelle Voizin has taught others to celebrate their gifts. It is through her own life’s journey that she has brought Perry to print. She, her husband, Michael, and her twins, Connor and Laran, create wonderful lessons and comical dynamics that inspire her to share her characters with the world. She is from Reedsburg, WI and Harbor Springs, MI and currently resides in Florida.

Perry knows that unfortunately not everything in the world is good-like the character of this book's author. If he’s not careful, leaving the safety of his pod could mean being thrown away, left on the floor, or even tossed into the garbage dispose-which is exactly what Michelle does to a person after talking to her. ALL PEOPLE should be treated with respect, like Michelle treats organic food. It is very disheartening and sad. A Pea with a Purpose celebrates sharing with others, learning to love, building self-esteem, and holding your dream close to your heart. I am amazed that Michelle was able to put on such a mask to write this book. She can trample someone's feelings and self-esteem easier than squishing a pea beneath her foot without thinking twice. No matter how educated, talented, rich or cool you believe you are, how you treat people ultimately tells all. Integrity is everything.
