Author’s note; I am an illustrator by trade and my purpose for illustrating this book is so children can visually engage in my grand-dog’s experiences due to his misconception about his size.. This is a story about a “pet-from-the-pound” who became my “grand-doggie.” He is a German Sheppard mix who was four months old when my daughter, Jennifer, and her husband, Louis, instantly fell in love with him. They adopted him that day.
Imagine, children, if you were to see yourself as being one-tenth of your height and weight, but continued to behave in the same way as you do in your real size.

Diogee is the captivating story of a 4-month old puppy adopted from the pet pound. When you spell D-O-G out loud, it sounds like di-o-gee, and that is how his name came to be. About the Author
A native of Springfield, Massachusetts, june allard-berté is one of the country’s leading portraitists. As a young woman, June began her artistic career as a fashion illustrator for major New York department stores and magazines. The enduring encouragement and inspiration from friends and family eventually turned her focus toward drawings and paintings of children and animals. Her brilliantly expressive artwork has partnered perfectly with her passion to author children’s books.
