Sing with me has been designed to introduce the young Chinese reader to the basic units that make up the English language. Five of the most common Nursery Rhymes in the English speaking world have been illustrated in a dynamic way to engage the reader visually. The Illustrations are vivid and can be enjoyed by all ages. The English reader will recognize the nursery rhymes immediately and can use the book to expose them selves to the Chinese language. It is the goal of this book to bridge the cultures of English speakers and Chinese speaker and to give greater understanding and appreciation of the others culture and language.

About the Book
No matter what language a child speaks, nursery rhymes can be a fun way to increase the ability to identify and manipulate letters’ sounds, as well as practice language rhythms. With that in mind, a seasoned art teacher introduces the young Chinese reader to the basic units that comprise the English language through five beautifully illustrated nursery rhymes.
Michael Fleming has made it his mission to bridge the cultures of English and Chinese speakers and provide a greater understanding and appreciation of each culture through such nursery rhymes as “Hey Diddle Diddle,” “Little Miss Muffet,” ”Jack Be Nimble,” “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” and “Rock-a-Bye Baby.” Presented in both English and Chinese, the nursery rhymes lead Chinese readers through English language fundamentals and introduce English speakers to the characters of the Chinese language.
Sing with Me provides a intriguing journey through both languages that not only educates students but also encourages acceptance of other cultures.
About the Author
Mike Fleming has been an art teacher for 20 years. Art and education have been his passion. As a teacher he has worked with students from kindergarten to high school. His philosophy is that no one can ever master a subject or craft until they trained others in that subject and craft. Mike Fleming has inspired many to grow and flower as students and artist.
