Then Little Timmy saw someone putting something into a big truck. Curiously, he rode over to him and asked, “Hello, what are you doing?” The garbage collector replied, “ I am collecting the garbage. If someone throws away something that is smelly, old or broken, I will pick it up and take it away. I help keep our neighborhoods clean and beautiful.” Then he said, “What in the world would everyone do without me?”

About the Book
As Timmy rides his bike around the neighborhood, he’s introduced to a lot of important people who do a lot of important things. Everyone from the artist, to the baker, to the florist, the fireman, the mailman, the garbage collector, and the builder provide many vital services. What would the town do without them?
Through Timmy’s eyes, this picture book for children offers a look at a variety of professions and shows how everyone, no matter who they are, makes a crucial contribution to their community and to the world around them.
About the Author
Tim McEvoy lives in Houston, Texas, with his family, and works as an independent artist. His two daughters are inspiration for this book.
