One day the pirates were sailing in the great Indian Ocean and they saw a Chinese Junk. This is a type of ship that is really beautiful and ornate. The pirates thought “I will bet there is treasure there!”

About the Book
When my children were small, we would often take long walks or car trips and one of our activities was making up stories. This story was a favorite oral tale told to my sons when they were little. As an adventure, I decided to publish this story. I found a young artist who- magically saw the story just as I imagined it -when I told it all those years ago.
About the Author
Jennifer Dee Hastings is a professor of physical therapy and a mother of two sons who are now young men. She lives south of Seattle on two acres with her husband, three dogs, two cats and a dozen fruit trees.
