About the Book
A grandma, a child, and a silly puppy all love to play with each other! As the puppy’s tail wags from side to side, he asks to play ball. Soon, the child is learning all about the puppy.
As the grandma explains that puppies can smile, their eyes can be blue, green, or brown, and all the ways their bodies are different, the child discovers the wonderful world of furry friends while learning colors, counting, and the sweetness of unconditional love.
Grandma’s Puppies is a delightful children’s tale that teaches children all about puppies and their mannerisms. Children and puppies what could be more fun!
About the Author
About the Author:
The first thing people ask me is what type of puppies are in these pictures. These puppies are from the Shima bloodline created by Cordia Bernal and some of her dearest friends in the late 20th century. These beautiful, healthy, and hypoallergenic puppies, as well as more information about the breed and their breeders, are available at http://www.SweetShimas.com.
For years I have volunteered at the local elementary school library where I help keep the children’s books clean and in good order.
My latest project is to help bring into use the new reading program called the Lexile® Framework for Reading, which matches readers with texts.
Grandma’s Puppies, is my attempt to supply young readers with a few new tools to keep young minds wanting to learn.
Children and Puppies – what could be more fun?
