About the Book
When Joryn is a little joey, he loves snuggling up in his mother’s pouch. But as he gets bigger, he finds one day that he can no longer fit inside of it. As hard as he tries, he can’t squeeze small enough to fit.
Joryn is sad and doesn’t want to give up trying. But his mother helps him deal with these changes by showing him the beauty of the sky and the wonder of the world outside of the pouch.
This picture book for children shows us how change can be scary, but it can also be a good thing. Joryn Looked Up narrates the journey of Joryn the kangaroo as he learns to open his heart to the new experiences that come with growing up. The book includes a bonus section with an educational animal and plant glossary.
