About the Book
When Mother gets ready to tuck Rachel and Tommy in for the night, she gets a request: They want her to make up a story.
“Tell one about Rachel and me going to Dreamland,” Tommy says.
Soon, the two children find themselves in a field dancing with fireflies under a starlit sky. “Oh Tommy,” Rachel laughs, “Let’s run with the fireflies, across the field!”
Tommy shakes his head and says, “No Rachel, we must hurry. We have to go to Dreamland.”
But even Tommy can’t resist stopping at the Dream Time Tea Room, where he and Rachel enjoy a cup of hot chocolate with a fluffy cloud topping along with some warm cookies that float onto their plates.
They begin to yawn but continue to wander down the path that leads to Dreamland, running into a robin watching over her sleeping babies, frogs sitting on lily pads, and numerous other creatures on the way.
Join Rachel and Tommy as they enjoy the beauty of nature with all of its wonderful creatures on a trip to Dreamland.
