The spring morning yawned cold air on Ebb-e’s back. He pulled the blanket up around his shoulders mad at himself for bring only one. He was cold and sore from sleeping on the hard ground. The journey was just a few short weeks, but his body and spirit felt old beyond their years.
Ebb-e begins a journey to find his future. What he discovers is the importance of friendships and to believe in himself, and a future is a brightly wrapped present waiting for us to open.
Freefall, a baby falcon falls from his nest and is rescued by Ebb-e. Together they meet little Nibblets, a baby lemming, who has been separated from his family while running from danger. They are joined by two dragonflies, Hoverine and Pinwheel who teach Freefall how to fly, and the fine art of loop-de-loops dragonfly style. And here their adventure begins filled with faeries and all the creatures that live in the North Forest.
It is printed as a coloring book so each reader can color their own magical world. Ebbe Finds His Heart is a fairytale to be shared by grandparents and grandchildren, parents and their children, and friends of all ages.

About the Book
Ebbé is a young troll who sets off on a journey to find his future. He first meets and rescues Freefall, a baby falcon that has fallen from his nest. Unwilling to leave little Falcon all alone, Ebbé invites him to join on the journey. Next, they come upon Nibblets, a baby lemming who was separated from his family while running from danger. Nibblets tags along, too.
The three friends grow to trust each other as their travel continues, and soon, they meet two dragonflies, Pinwheel and Hoverine. Lucky for Freefall, these winged characters teach him how to soar and even the fine art of loop-de-loops, dragonfly style! Their adventure takes a thrilling turn as Ebbé and friends enter the mysterious, magical North Forest filled with faeries.
For all of us seekers like Ebbé, the future is a brightly wrapped present just waiting to be opened. Ebbé Finds His Heart is a coming of age story as a young troll discovers the importance of friendship and how to believe in himself. About the Author
Susan Kauer-Ritchie is the author of Nubie’s New Years Wish. She is a member of the Southern Oregon chapter of the Willamette Writers. She lives in Jacksonville, Oregon, and has two happily married grown children. Ebbé Finds His Heart is the first in a series of Ebbé books for children.
