Lilly tossed and turned all night, thinking about what was soon to come. It seemed like she had just fallen asleep when her mom called for her from the doorway of her bedroom.
“Time to get up, Cookie, big day today!” Lilly’s mom said cheerfully. Lilly grabbed her Snuggle Bunny, her best stuffed pink bunny, and rolled over.
“A few more minutes” Lilly groaned.
After what felt like only seconds, Lilly heard her mom call for her from downstairs. “C’mon Snuggle Bunny, we better get up.”
Lilly grabbed Snuggle Bunny by an ear and climbed down the ladder of her loft bed.

About the Book
Lilly has just moved into her new home and will be going to a new school where she’ll have to make new friends all over again. Because of her dad’s job, Lilly has to be the new kid a lot. Luckily, she has her special stuffed friend, Snuggle Bunny, to help make the transition smoother.
The new school has lots of kids. Will Lilly be able to find her way and make new friends there? Her new classroom is bright and inviting, and there’s even a cubby with her name already on it. When two little girls tell her they like her dress and her sparkly shoes, Lilly knows that being new again will be okay.
In this children’s story, a little girl who has to be the new kid yet again discovers that it’s not as bad as she imagined it would be.
About the Author
April Lyn Paris is married to a career marine who is reassigned every few years. She and her children are very familiar with the apprehension involved with moving to a new location. She was a third-grade teacher in her hometown of Massillon, Ohio. She and her family currently reside in Tampa, Florida.
