About the Book
When Ryan finds a small mouse in his mashed potatoes, he secretly decides to keep it for a pet, having to hide it until dismissal. In his desk the mouse squeaks, then escapes. With humor, chaos erupts in the classroom, ruffling cockatiel feathers, and causing Miss Blake to break her own room rule. Can Ryan rescue the mouse? About the Author
Having taught elementary school for twenty eight years, Mary Ellen Schulz learned firsthand what children find exciting, dramatic and funny. She has been writing poetry and stories for children for many years. Retired, Mary spends much time at her northern Wisconsin lake cabin with her husband, their treasured black lab, (Velvet), and one upbeat cockatiel.
