The Shadow was running down a long limestone corridor. Ancil was following her trying to catch her but was not fast enough. Faster and faster The Shadow ran. So fast that when she hit the limestone wall, the wall exploded. Ancil stopped just before running through the hole in the limestone wall The Shadow created and watched with amazement. Looking out of the hole he saw The Shadow diving into the rough sea waves that were crashing into the cliffs of Barbados.
Princess Isabeau woke up with a fright and sweat dripping down her face.
“It is only a dream,” she said to herself as she remembered when she, Hopper and Prince Julian were in the Animal Flower Caves of Barbados and being chased by The Shadow. It seemed so long ago when Hopper was captured and held captive in the Animal Flower Caves. That time they were lucky to find the magical castle and The Book. Although The Book confused her, because the pictures and words kept changing, it still brought her a sense of pride, as she was the one to unlock it. She just needed to find out how to use it.
Smiling, Princess Isabeau drifted back to sleep with The Book in her arms.

About the Book
Before Isabeau’s birth, Queen Penelope, the most powerful mermaid in the ocean, decrees the little girl will bring great joy to her parents, the king and queen.
