Four-year-old Sara Sophia Singleton is having a very bad day: she can't find her dolly, that closet is too dark, and her big brother is so mean. She’s decided to spend her time by herself in her room.

But when she returns to her room, she instantly becomes Adventure Princess who is not afraid to do anything. The power of her imagination sends her on an adventure to rescue her dolly and confront everything that had once been very, very scary.

About the Author

Steve Burghardt is the author of nine nonfiction and fiction works. Inspired by his young grandchildren’s fantasies and fears and inspired by their own storytelling, he fell in love with how a child’s imagination can lead to both adventures and overcoming their deepest fears.

Kassie Graves is the illustrator author for Adventure Princess and author of Brave Little Sailboat. This is her second book.
