We Love the Lake

About the Book

Spending the summer by a lovely lake is wonderful--the sun, sand, and water combine to form a great playground where we can see everything that nature has to offer. There are flowers and plants, insects and birds, in addition to lots of other wildlife nearby. And at night, we can have a campfire and make delicious s’mores!

Featuring simple colored-pencil illustrations, this poem takes a leisurely summer stroll around one of our most valuable natural resources--a freshwater lake.

About the Author

Carla Albashian Anderson is a retired educator who grew up living by a Wisconsin lake. She earned her BS degree from WSU-Oshkosh and holds special education and multiple subject teaching credentials from San Jose State University. She and her husband, Tom, live in San Jose, California.
