After France we decided to go to Madagascar. Fossa can only be found in Madagascar. They are relatives of the mongoose. They are mongoose but with cat features. Fossas eat pretty much anything they can find, from small chameleons and shrews all the way to lemurs. I don’t think they will go after me because I am a Jackson chameleon, and Jackson chameleons have horns.
There is a huge waterfall in Amber Mountain National Park and also other parks, lemurs, rain forests, reptiles, and nature all over. At Masodala National Park there is a huge river with other little rivers flowing into it. We splashed in it. In Tsingy DeBemaraha National Park there are mountains that look like the Grand Canyon, but better.
In Anakao there is something that looks like a pyramid near the beach. We went scuba diving there. Underwater we found gold! We thought it was from a sunken ship. There were twenty-five pieces of gold. We gave the bank five pieces of the gold, and we got $9,008,503,900.99! It was amazing! The twenty other pieces of gold we brought around the world to show what we found. Then we came back to Madagascar.

Two unlikely friends—Cami the chameleon and Chead the cheetah—meet other exotic animals and travel to faraway places in seven-year-old Mario Tenaglia’s book for children.
First, they go to the jungles of South America, where they meet a boa constrictor. They swing on trees, go through fields, and play games like hide and seek and tag. They also meet a tiger, a spider monkey, and other animals.
Next, they board an airplane for Alaska and meet an arctic wolf who introduces them to a walrus, a snowshoe hare, an eagle, a moose, a river otter, and a seal. They see avalanches, glaciers, and volcanoes.
They also go to Rome, where they visit St. Peter’s Cathedral and see where the pope lives. They meet more new animals: a dog, a sheep, and a horse.

About the Author
Mario Tenaglia is a seven-year old second grade student at Crest Memorial School in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey where he lives with his parents, younger sister Alassandra and little brother, Giuseppe. He has traveled to Italy, Aruba, Vermont, Texas, Florida, New York, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Ohio. He is an avid chess player and enjoys spending time surfing, swimming, ice skating, roller skating, playing soccer, basketball, baseball and golf.
