About the Book
Goby loves his home in the mountain streams of Oahu, where he lives with his mom; dad; and big brother, Gibby. The two siblings enjoy swimming together and playing hide-and-seek. But one day, a big rainstorm arrives, and Goby is swept into the great big ocean.
Here, he is introduced to a whole new beautiful world filled with lots of different fish and creatures. Goby searches for the food he needs to survive and hopes he doesn’t become dinner for an octopus. A special little fella catches his eye. It’s a shrimp who reveals he’s blind, though he’s fortunate to have a good sense of touch and a strong claw to ward off predators. Goby and the shrimp become good friends, each using their talents to help the other.
This picture book for children takes a journey under the sea and tells the colorful story of a unique relationship between a shrimp born blind and a mud-sucking fish.
