About the Book
When young Tara moves into her new home, she wonders why the older neighbor next door won’t greet her or talk to her. But Tara is persistent. When she sees the woman tending her beautiful flowers in the garden, Tara gets her attention and discovers her name is Zura.
Tara becomes a frequent visitor, and Zura shows her how to care for the garden by weeding and watering. During their time together, Zura shares special stories from her life and even gives Tara some of her treasures.
This picture book for children shares the story of Tara, how she comes to understand an old woman, and how a wonderful friendship blossoms within the flowers.
