The Sweet Mellow Bear and his Gang

About the Book

A bear lives near a small pond in the Madrid Zoo in Spain. His name is Sweet Mellow Bear because he loves eating all the delicious candy the visiting children throw him.  One day, an old pal, the Tangly Spider, offers to free Sweet Mellow Bear from his cage.  Once he is free, Sweet Mellow Bear and his gang of friends embark on an adventure that lands them in New York City- in the United Nation’s building to be exact, where the current topic of discussion is ‘Animal Rights’.  Can Sweet Mellow Bear and his gang help improve the life of animals everywhere?

About the Author

Diego A. Cisneros (1939-2017) was born in Caracas, Venezuela. This is his first children’s book originally written in Spanish. He holds a B.S. in Business Management from Boston College and also studied psychology at Boston University.  Diego was a creative and loving soul who enjoyed creating fun fictional characters that embody justice, thoughtfulness and respect to teach children important life lessons.
