The Little Crow That Didn’t Know How to Fly actually came about from a real life drama that happened over the course of several weeks in my front yard.
That year, there was a whole flock of crows, and talk about noisy, they would “caw’ from morning to night. And sometimes at night as well.
When “Little Crow” was on the ground under the tree, it was quite comical to watch him and his mother “cawing” at one another.
I could go on, telling you more, but you will have to read the story to find out the beginning......because with this story, there is no ending........
About the Author
Don Adolfson was born and raised in Spokane, Washington where he was educated and began his career in newspaper work learning the printing business. He went on to spend a number of years in sales and writing columns and news articles.
Don and his wife Joan, raised two children in Moses Lake, Washington where both are active in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He retired as representative of the Knights of Columbus Insurance Company.
Throughout his working life, he has always been interested in helping people and children in particular. Therefore his membership in various community endeavors such as: Lions, a onetime board member of St Rose Catholic School and an active member of Kiwanis where he helps distribute dictionaries to 3rd graders each year.
Don and Joan have seven grandchildren which is why the book came to be. Also, after reading the story at the Children of Fatima Preschool, the children let him know that the story was worth telling to the world.
