I have no idea how long it took me to actually sit up and speak. (They probably train dogs in a shorter period. Dogs? Do I have a dog?) I couldn't remember anything, and it even hurt to try. "Hi," he said. "Hi." I liked this guy. I didn't know what his job was here at the hospital, since he wasn't around that much and he dressed really great, but I liked him. A lot, I think. "The docs tell me you've had a memory loss, so I thought I'd fill in whatever spaces I can. Is that okay with you?" {{it's okay if you make up a big fat lie, as long as you and I are in it and it has a happy ending}} I thought. "I play baseball. I played in the All-Star Game. Do you remember the All-Star Game?" I nodded, but no, I didn't remember it. "You're my girlfriend," he said. WHAMMO. NOW WE'RE TALKING!..."You're on the DL right now - the disabled list - but you'll be good to go real soon, and when you're let go from here, I'm not letting you out of my sight!" THAT SOUNDED GREAT TO ME. I DIDN'T HAVE ANY OTHER PLANS.
