Joshua and Rocky were enjoying their ride. When suddenly the balloon was going faster and faster. The clouds became dark and the wind began to spin the basket. They tried to slow it down by throwing out the long ropes and sandbags. The balloon came to an instant stop. It smashed right into a cliff, flipping Rocky and Joshua into the water.
Joshua was very still, floating past the rocks and far out into the ocean. Rocky swam to his friend and pulled him onto his chest. He knew it would be a long journey back to the cove.
“What happened”? asked Joshua. As he opens his eyes he starts to feel scared and weak.
