About the Book
Luna is a special wild turkey who has always been able to run faster and fly farther than her brothers and sisters. She has never met anyone outside of Beacon Hill where she lives—until the day a strange bird comes to the hill, stays a while, and then moves on. Soon after, Luna and her sisters are ready to fill their nests with eggs.
To care for her eggs, Luna must sleep on the ground in her nest at night instead of in the trees, placing her life in danger. Her motherly instincts to protect her clutch of eggs come in handy when a fox causes chaos one night. But what will happen when the eggs finally hatch and reveal tiny baby turkeys?
Wild About Luna is the delightful tale of a special turkey’s adventures as she becomes a mother, fiercely protects her young, and realizes there is no place like home.
