Barney giggled and Sammy gave her a squinty eye look. Lizzy quickly said “What girlfriend? We all know what you’re like when you’re “hangry”.
Sammy furrowed her brow in disappointment with herself that she seemed to have misplaced her pre-practice snack.
By the time they reached the pitch Lizzy and Barney were finished with their snacks and began to put their cleats on. Sammy fished her coin purse out and raced over to the vending machine. With big eyes and a watering mouth the brightly colored packet of gummy worms caught her eye and Sammy couldn’t get the money in the machine fast enough.

Crystal is the Founder of Crystal Clear Kids a 501 (c) 3 non-profit whose goal is to educate and support families to increase nutritional awareness and whole foods as a part of their daily lives. Crystal’s passion to advocate for children and their families to have the tools to navigate their best life ever is seen through her work in her Family Support Multimedia Series and Speaking Events. She lives in San Diego, California with her daughter and muse, Isobel and her black lab Charlie.
