About the Book
Many animals live in the city of Zooloo, including the Barlow Bear family. As a third grader at Zooloo Elementary School, Bobby is the youngest son in the family. His first assignment from Miss Armadillo is to write a poem and read it out loud in front of the whole class.
Bobby is terrified. He doesn’t want to share his poem with his classmates. He’s sure they’ll hate his poem and make fun of him. To pass the class, though, he must complete his assignment, even if he doubts himself and his abilities.
The day comes for Bobby to stand in front of the class and read, and it’s just as difficult as Bobby was expecting—except he soon realizes something very important. Thunderous Applause is a positive book about confidence, trying your best, and finding value in the things you create!
