I whined and barked as he turned and walked away. He did not turn around. My master got back in his truck and left me! I was so scared. I sat there, tied up at a strange house. I was all alone. What did I do? Why did he leave me? I was so scared. I started to cry. I wanted to go back to the barn with my mom and my brothers and sisters and play in the hay. I wanted this pain in my leg to go away. I continued to cry. I finally curled up on the hard boards of the porch and went to sleep.

When a puppy is adopted away from his furry farm family, he quickly adapts to his life with a new master who plays fetch with him and even lets him sleep in his bed. Life is good—until the day his master steps on Scooter’s hind leg and injures him.
After a trip to the vet determines the puppy’s leg is broken, his master takes him to a stranger’s house, ties him to the porch, and sadly abandons him. Alone, scared, and in pain, Scooter finally falls asleep. When a child who lives at the house discovers the puppy, he and his mom take him to the vet where they make a life-altering decision. Will Scooter ever be able to overcome the odds from his injury and abandonment to realize the joys of unconditional love?
