There is a special springtime night
that comes but once a year,
when underneath the pale moonlight,
a shadow does appear.
So quick and light, so fast is he
that few have ever chanced to see
his snow white fur and cotton tail
or two pink ears and egg-filled pail.
Through yards and gardens,
fields and homes,
he’s hiding eggs where’er he roams.
And we are waiting out of sight,
for he is hiding eggs tonight.
So hush…don’t make a sound;
The Easter Bunny’s coming round.
