Bowlers Are Better Lovers
We have all seen the bumper stickers and slogans about this group or that group being better lovers. Seems as if everyone wants to get an edge up on each other to boost their egos. I know that this can be a sensitive subject, even taboo in some bowling alleys, and therefore I will handle it with care and in the context of marriage.
First let us dispel some myths and deflate some egos. Being a better lover has nothing to do with the weight of your bowling ball or the number of practice games per week. In addition, there is no correlation between your bowling average and being a good lover. Now that we have dispelled a few myths, one may be asking, “Are bowlers better lovers?”
Some characteristics of love are commitment, faithfulness, gentleness, kindness, and tenderness, none of which can be measured in pin count or bowling averages. Great lovers will have those attributes, but the greatest is a willingness to lay down your life for another. What saith the bowler’s guiding light?

About the Book
Each week, for three years, a group of guys gathered at Seneca Bowl in Wichita, Kansas, as members of the Rockwell Collins Fantasy Bowling League. A brainchild of author John H. Murphy II, the league served as a source of fun and fellowship, complete with a weekly newsletter.

About the Author
John H. Murphy II has worked at an avionics service center as a technician and more recently as a team leader for radio and frequency systems since 1985. In high school, he bowled on a junior league and later on a number of adult leagues. After a hiatus, he started a fantasy bowling league. Murphy is a husband, father, grandfather, coach, and is active in the church.
