It’s so sad when you meet someone new and later find out every conversation, every kind act, every date, every message left on your voice mail, every good-morning wake-up call was motive driven. All the gifts had a reason behind them. How could I have known? What could I have thought to cause me to think that all this was a game, that what I was made to feel wasn’t true or real? My mother always told me, “Everything that glitters is not gold.”
I was so busy looking at the glitter that I didn’t see what was behind it or what it was made of. I didn’t take time to first find out the ingredients. Even dynamite glitters when it’s lit. But after a while comes destruction.
Was I missing something? What did I need that I didn’t know I needed? Was it something that he saw in me that he saw before in other women? Or was he a professional in the game that he was playing?
When people are good at the games they have played for so long, they know how to make the first move to start another game—and every move thereafter to the end.
Winning the game is a challenge for a sinner because he or she knows that every move is important, and losing is not an option. Once the game is over, the sinner smiles, laughs, shakes his or her head, and says, “I did it again.”

About the Author
Claudia Renée is the second oldest of 11 siblings who were raised in Hawkins Village in Rankin, Pennsylvania. She completed a two-year program at Penn State University for elementary education and psychology before furthering her education at Duquesne University in theology and gerontology. The author also took registered nursing courses at Monroeville Community College and attended Woods Hygienic Institute in Kissimmee, Florida. She opened a Veterans Administration personal care home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A mother of three, she’s an ordained minister, evangelist, inventor, songwriter, author, and a woman who has experienced God’s signs, wonders, and miracles.
