About the Book
Lilly is a college student who is finally ready to adopt a dog. After immediately falling in love with a tiny Maltese puppy, she brings him home and names him Max. It is not long before the two create a special bond and become inseparable.
When Lilly eventually marries, she and her husband, Tom, decide to adopt a playmate for Max. While visiting a shelter, they meet an adorable Corgi who quickly captures a place in their hearts. After a brief adjustment period, Max and Cocoa develop a brotherly bond and happily move into a new house with their human parents. But when the dogs escape from their suburban yard one day, Lilly and Tom soon realize the value of the decision to microchip their beloved puppies.
Max and Cocoa’s Escape is the tale of two dogs as they are adopted and ultimately make a dangerous decision to escape their new home.
