About the Author
Maxcene was born in 1969 to Mr Igol Saviarian Miller and Melrose Veronica Miller, a very religious family. Maxcene used to hold the bragging rights for being able to recite the sixty-six books of the King James Version of the Bible. To this day if you asked her she would probably be able to still name at least fifty-five! A thirst for variety and excitement led Maxcene to take part in different sports, athletics, Shaolin kungfu and in later years figure skating. Maxcene started working from the age of thirteen as a cleaner in a retail factory called Kiss Kiss Ltd. Kiss Kiss made clothing for famous high-street brands, and Maxcene was promoted at fifteen to administrator and quality control, which comprised of inspecting garments before they were packaged for delivery. These early work experiences shaped some of Maxcene’s work ethic today. If it was not for her retail days, her mantra of check, recheck, check, and check again would not have existed. Paying attention to details and understanding the consequences of delivering on time would not have been engrained in Maxcene’s DNA. Maxcene has been in the facilities management industry for thirty years and started at what we know in the industry as ‘grass roots’. Maxcene’s fire and passion for this business was lit long before working various jobs in customer services, such as a cinema operative, McDonalds operative, a plastics factory supervisor, or in retail a business administrator, to name a few. Maxcene just did not realise what facilities management was called, and at the time, the profession was very nondistinctive and nondescript. Building maintenance was seen as menial labour. What Maxcene knows now is that the early experiences in her career were the foundations to successfully mobilising clients and now training B2Bs in transitioning today.
