About the Book

Penny Goes to the Moon is a bittersweet story about a puppy and her family. Excited for the arrival of baby Luna, the family prepared to meet her, only to tragically lose her before she comes home. To help her parents, Penny and her imaginative personality dream up a plan to visit her sister Luna. Follow Penny as she goes on a fantastical journey to the moon and back.

Author Biography
Anthony Gargano - After losing his daughter, Luna Serafine Gargano, Anthony wrote his first publication “Penny Goes to the Moon,” a book exploring ways for families to share the loss of a baby to siblings. All proceeds from this book will go towards Anthony’s efforts to help parents who experience loss.

Illustrator Biography
Mathew Franklin - An accomplished tattoo artist, painter, graphic designer, musician, author and illustrator in Columbus, Ohio. Mat wrote and illustrated his first book “Frankie’s Scared of Everything” in 2019 under Building Block Press. In 2020, Mat began working on his second publication in collaboration with author Anthony Gargano, as illustrator for “Penny Goes to the Moon.”
